"School's commitment to the international dimension in the curriculum and school ethos, and active links with your partner schools in France and Spain. I am impressed with the variety of digital and non-digital means, e.g. letters, videos, Skype, etc., that you use to communicate with the partner schools, which will bring pupils' modern foreign language alive for them" The International School Award team British Council 2017

What positive impact does your arts provision have on students’ behaviour, engagement, aspirations, their self-confidence and self-esteem and attitude to learning?
This is a strong area of the school’s provision. During my meeting with the Head Teacher one child knocked on the door and said “Can we show Jo our dance?”. They (around 10 boys and girls from year 6) performed a very moving piece about friendship and bullying. In many ways this encapsulated the impact of the arts in the school upon the children‟s confidence, collaborative skills and ability to communicate.
During discussions with pupils, they told me that involvement in the arts made them feel excited, happy, proud, and special. They told me the arts were fun and that “yes – we do come to school to have fun!” Artsmark Gold – September 2014
‘The pupils are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic all round. Their work on Global citizenship, the importance of the rainforest, and links with Uganda have been thorough. Their work on healthy living was also excellent, with strong links to the curriculum work of all age groups’ EcoAward – July 2014
‘There is a clear vision supported by aims, 'drivers' and a comprehensive list of values. These are a reflection of the underlying culture which is based upon respect, support and sharing. This sustains and motivates a staff team with very high levels of shared commitment to delivering high standards’ Investors in People Gold Award – November 2013
