You are here: Our Catholic Ethos | Rights Respecting School
St Thomas More School has been awarded UNICEF’s Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA). As a Catholic school we model and share with the children the teachings of Jesus, as set out in our mission statement, and this therefore underpins the foundations of our rights respecting journey.
The RRSA recognises our achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of the school’s planning, policies, practice and ethos. As rights-respecting school, we not only teach children about their rights, but aim to model rights and respect in all our relationships: between staff and pupils, amongst all adults and between the children themselves.
