Year 4 Adoremus Project at St John's School

Congratulations to all our children in Year 4 who recently participated in a special service with their fellow pupils at St John’s School to celebrate Adoremus. Fr Denis led a short service using the children’s prayers and they were all brilliantly behaved. This is part of the wider initiative by the Catholic Church in celebration of the Eucharist. Within school, we have been working on projects to explore our beliefs through art, dance, prayers and reflections. The theme for this half term is ‘Solidarity,’ with a focus on the growth stage of spiritual development. Children are asked to think about someone who is sick or in need and offer prayers for them.

Christmas Enterprise Week

This week, the children have learnt about how to manage money as well as advertising and selling a product for Enterprise Week. On Wednesday 19th December each class ran a stall to sell their class product to families and friends at our Christmas Market.

The Salvation Army Collection

Many thanks to all the families who supported our recent drive to ensure that all children in Letchworth and surrounding areas wake up to some parcels from Father Christmas on 25th December. As ever, your generosity is overwhelming. A representative from the Salvation Army visited the school this morning to pick up the gifts and asked to convey her thanks to you all, too.
