Year 5 will be visiting The Sartorius Stedim Biotech Group in Royston on Thursday 31st January 2019. Pupils will be attending a workshop (Microbial growth within industry) which will support the “Children’s Challenging Industry Project”.
The children will be transported by coach which will leave school promptly at 8.55 am and return shortly after lunchtime.
School uniform should be worn as normal.
As pupils will not return in time for lunch, they will need a packed lunch which will be eaten on our return; please do not include nuts or fizzy drinks.
Pupils will be given a snack including crisps, a biscuit, raisins and a drink of squash at the workshop. If your child suffers with an allergy or intolerance, please indicate this on the consent form.
The cost of this trip is £2 which has been subsidised by the school.
Permission and payment can be made via the online ParentPay facility. However, if you are unable to access this facility please complete and return the permission slip in a sealed, clearly named envelope with the correct money enclosed by Friday 25th January.
As always parents are responsible for making sure that inhalers are carried by the children. If your child has an Epi-pen this will be carried by the teacher in charge. Please also remember that it is the responsibility of parents/carers to inform us in writing if their child experiences a medical condition which school staff should be aware of.
Please give your consent and make your payment online, or complete and return the permission slip, either via the post box in class or via the post box located in the office entrance, by Friday 25th January.
