The Early Years team have been busy planning the summer trip for the Early Years 1 class, who will be visiting Standalone Farm. The trip will take place on Friday 6th July 2018 and will be a full day from 8.50am until 2.30pm. Please arrange to collect your child from school at this time.
There is no cost for this trip, as entry to the farm is free and Letchworth Heritage Foundation are providing the transport.
Mrs Lawlor has already visited the farm to plan the day and it promises to be a fun and exciting experience for the children. They will be learning about the animals on the farm, handling the smaller animals, going on a tractor trailer ride, and playing in the outdoor play area.
Each child will need to have a packed lunch with a drink and a further clearly named water bottle. (Please do not include foods with nuts, including peanut butter, cereal bars, or any fizzy drinks.)
Please ensure that all children wear a school t-shirt and bring a school jumper if it is cold. This enables children to be easily visible at all times. If it is hot, children will need to wear sun cream and bring a hat. Please ensure this is a long lasting high factor variety as we are unable to reapply it. If wet weather is forecast, please ensure your child has a raincoat and wellingtons with them. Please do not bring umbrellas or any toys.
If your child has an Epi-pen or an inhaler, these will be carried by the teacher in charge. If your child is on medication, it is the responsibility of parents/carers to inform us in writing prior to the trip.
Please complete the permission slip and return it to the school by Friday 29th June 2018.
