You will be aware from Mrs Perry's recent newsletter that from 12th December to 19th December it will be 'Enterprise Week' in school. This gives each class the chance to become a company and in this morning's sharing assembly each class received their £20 from Mrs Perry ready to start. The children will be busy researching, designing, making and selling a product.
We have successfully run Enterprise Weeks in previous years and the children learn a huge amount about managing money as well as advertising and selling a product. This year we are having a Christmas theme and the week will end with a Christmas Market. On Wednesday 19th December each class will run a stall to sell their class product. We are inviting all families and friends of the school to come to our Christmas Market - this will be a great opportunity for some last-minute Christmas shopping!
The market stalls will open at 9.00am and close at 11.30am. The Year 6 children will be running a Christmas Cafe with mince pies and mulled 'wine'. The children are asked to bring money in to spend on the different products at the Christmas Market. Ideally this should be in coin form in a named purse. We recommend that the children bring in no more than £3.
We look forward to seeing you at the Christmas Market, I know there are already ideas for Christmas decorations, cards, wrapping paper and much more.
