A school trip has been arranged for Years 5 and 6 pupils to visit the Airbus Foundation in Stevenage on Tuesday 27th February. This is intended to support pupils in the process of working scientifically. They will be involved in 3 different activities during the day: a Science Show, a 'make and take' activity and an investigation to improve their scientific inquiry skills.
The children will be transported by coach, which will leave school at 8.55 am and return by 3.00 pm.
School uniform should be worn, including a waterproof coat and comfortable shoes.
The children will need a packed lunch for the day (please do not include nuts or fizzy drinks). Packed lunches should be carried in a backpack so that pupils will have their hands free for the activities.
The cost of the trip is £12.55. Should you find the cost prohibitive, please speak to Mrs Perry in confidence and she will do her best to help. No child will be excluded because of the cost.
Permission and payment can be made via the online ParentPay facility. However, if you are unable to access this facility please complete and return the permission slip in a sealed, clearly named envelope with the correct money enclosed by Friday 23rd February 2018. Thank you
As always parents are responsible for making sure that inhalers are carried by the children. If your child has an Epi-pen this will be carried by the teacher in charge. Please also remember that it is the responsibility of parents/carers to inform us in writing if their child experiences a medical condition which school staff should be aware of.
