Our Year 6 pupils will be participating in the “Crucial Crew” event on the morning of Monday 10th July. This is an annual event for Year 6 pupils across Hertfordshire, organised by the emergency services. Pupils are given the opportunity to take part in a number of challenges linked to personal and community health and safety. The sessions are always great fun and most of the teaching and learning is delivered through role play.
The children will leave St. Thomas More at 9.00 am promptly and return by lunchtime. The event will take place at Hitchin Fire Station and the children will be travelling by coach. As the school is funding the cost of this event, there will be no cost to parents for this trip.
As always parents are responsible for making sure that inhalers are carried by the children. If your child has an Epi-pen this will be carried by the teacher in charge. Please also remember that it is the responsibility of parents/carers to inform us in writing if their child experiences a medical condition which school staff should be aware of.
