The Early Years team have been busy planning the summer trip for the Early Years 1 class, who will be visiting Gravely Fruit Farm.
Staff members have already visited the farm to plan the day and it promises to be a fun and exciting day for the children. We will be picking strawberries, learning about the fruit farm, going on a tractor trailer ride, and playing in the outdoor play area.
The trip will take place on Friday 23rd June 2017 and will be a full day from 8.50am until 2.00pm. Please arrange to collect your child from school at this time.
Each child will need to have a packed lunch with a drink and a further clearly named water bottle. (Please do not include foods with nuts, including peanut butter, or any fizzy drinks.)
Please ensure that all children wear a school t-shirt and bring a school jumper if it is cold. This enables children to be easily visible at all times. If it is hot, children will need to wear sun cream and bring a hat. Please ensure this is a long lasting high factor variety as we are unable to reapply it.
If wet weather is forecast, please ensure your child has a raincoat and wellingtons with them. Please do not bring umbrellas or any toys.
If your child has an Epi-pen or an inhaler these will be carried by the teacher in charge. If your child is on medication please make sure that we are aware. Please also remember that it is the responsibility of parents/carers to inform us in writing if their child experiences a medical condition which school staff should be aware of.
